RAF SIMONS X FRED PERRY A/W13 COLLECTION

Photography by Pierre Debusschere, styling by Robbie Spencer
The collection draws inspiration from Mod style classics with the use of checkerboard prints and American sportswear influences. I love the colour scheme and varsity jackets.

The collection was shot by photographer Pierre Debusschere and styled by Dazed & Confused fashion director Robbie Spenser. The collaboration between Raf Simons and Fred Perry is nothing new, but yet they have managed to come up with a collection that is as exciting.

I could really do with the black/leather varsity jacket, checkerboard shirt and blue coat in my wardrobe. Just saying.

‘The challenge is exactly the fact that Fred Perry has a very distinctive heritage and identity. I am always interested to see in what way that can be strengthened by collaborating. It is in the first place about understanding each others codes and style but also attitude. It is about respecting each other and working on collections that translate both brands natures and challenge each other by focusing on the differences of each others nature, to create something different from what both would usually do.’
